The PDF I posted yesterday night, has been published on SPA’s Blog as well.
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) has proposed seaplane restrictions for
Lake Tahoe. As background, this is part of a regional plan update for the Tahoe
Basin. TRPA is the controlling authority of the lake. This proposal falls
under the land use element, noise subelement, noise alternative matrix. Under
alternative 2, which is what TRPA favors (alternative 1 is to do nothing, and 3
and 4 are variations of alternative 2), seaplanes would be restricted 1 mile
from shore and not be allowed to taxi to shore. Please go to the following link
to read the proposal:
Scroll to the bottom right hand corner of the third page (N3) and under
Implementation Measures you will see N.Imp.25 which relates to seaplanes.

Please subscribe to this subject to stay tuned for developments. The www.seaplaneforum.com has an open invitation to leave feedback and share information. Plans are being made to help with fund-raising efforts to help offset the steep price tag of hiring lawyer and noise specialists. Local SPA’s have been contacted as well.
